modular portable shielding
A Terra Verde Group Company
Police & Security
The MRP Systems portable shield system can be used by law enforcement agencies for public safety applications. The blocks can be used to rapidly erect blast walls around suspected explosive devices. It can also be used to establish traffic barriers with a minimum expenditure of time, manpower and equipment.
Barriers to Explosives
Law
enforcement agencies are often put in the difficult situation of securing a
location with a suspected explosive device present. The MRP Systems
portable shield system can be rapidly deployed in these situations to establish
a barrier to horizontal blast consequences. The blocks can be set in place
with minimal effort and filled with water. When the situation is secured,
the blocks can be drained and returned to storage.
Traffic Diversion
Law
enforcement groups must often have to rapidly divert traffic. The
short-term solution of uniformed officers directing traffic is labour intensive
and prohibitive if traffic must be controlled for several hours. The MRP
Systems portable shield blocks can be rapidly deployed to the scene and filled
with water. When filled, each weighs in excess of 250 kg (more than 500
pounds). Their interlocking features enable temporary barriers to be
established quickly and with a minimum of manpower and equipment commitment.
Airport and Carpark Security
The
MRP Systems portable shield blocks have been adapted to use for securing airport
parking and carparks at other facilities. The need for line-of-sight
shielding between parking areas and critical installations can be addressed very
cost-effectively with the MRP blocks filled with sand, water, grout or
some other combination.
Customisation
The MRP Systems portable shield blocks can be manufactured in colours to meet the specifications and needs of law enforcement customers. In addition, special labels and warnings can be impressed into the blocks to meet specific situations. (For example, "Police Barrier - Do Not Cross!" can be impressed into the face of each block.)
